Metro Nashville Coca-Cola and Kroger have collaborated for a new green initiative, Recycle & Win, which has been designed to increase recycling rates.
For the program's implementation in the Nashville market, Coca-Cola and Kroger have invested over $250,000.
A Coca-Cola Recycle & Win educational packet has been mailed to all single-family households in Nashville outlining the do's and don'ts of recycling, in order to start the program.
Additionally, an YES! sticker with photos of recyclables that are permitted is also included in the mailer to enable residents understand which items are accepted for recycling.
Programs such as 'Recycle & Win' are expected to promote environmental stewardship and encourage recycling participation, which minimizes the amount of material determined for landfills.
