Chicago-based insurance brokerage firm Hub International(Hub)has completed acquisition of Intercare Insurance Solutions,for an undisclosed sum.
Intercare will now join California operations of Hub International Insurance Services(Hub California),as part of the acquisition,which represents its aim to further extend footprint and build employee benefits and wellness consulting practice locally.
Intercare president and CEO Mike Barone will also join the company and report to Hub California president Kirk Christ.
Hub International Western Region president Roy Taylor said the acquisition will serve as a significant contribution to the company's national employee benefits strategy.
Barone said the company will be able to further expand its services and offerings using Hub International's breadth and depth of resources.
''This will increase in importance as employers prepare for the impacts of new healthcare legislation,''Barone added.
Headquartered in San Diego,Intercare Insurance Solutions is a provider of a wide range of employee benefits consulting and brokerage services,besides property and casualty and 401(k)retirement plan consulting.
