According to statistics released by the Japan Iron & Steel Federation (JISF), the country’s shipments of hot rolled (HR) plates and sheets totaled 846,779 tons in October, down by 1.97% from a month ago and decreasing by 8.92% year on year.
Among them, 76.5% were made to domestic market and 23.5% were to export markets.
Meanwhile, the country’s shipments of HR strop totaled 1.22 million tons in October, falling by 8.68% from a month earlier and down by 4.16% year on year. The country’s HR strip output totaled 1.23 million tons in October, decreasing by 6.45% month on month and falling by 6.66% year on year.
